Anthony Davis played his heart out and his heel took a pounding too!

Check out those shines AD has on his feet (Any loyal reader, Christmas is coming!)! Anthony Davis had the tricked out gold sneakers on. The Kobe style shoes with the color similar to the Larry O’Brien Trophy. Put that with the Black Mamba jerseys, he was looking superfly and ready to end things on Friday night.

The reason that the Lakers did not was not because of this man. AD is gaining his stripes as a player that plays through serious aches and pains. The picture above shows when he got injured. it’s a shame because he looked like he was on his way to a big night.

If you look at his stat line, it’s amazing the words, “One his way to a big night was used”. Basically dragging one leg, AD played 42 minutes scoring 28 points (9-15 shooting!), collecting 12 rebounds (3 offensive!), dishing out 3 assists, while nabbing 3 blocks and 3 steals. One of his offensive rebounds put the Lakers in the lead before the Jimmy Butler free throws.

Now the attention goes to the foot that was inside of those shiny shoes. A deep heel contusion will not keep AD out, but the Lakers really need another big game out of him. Is it fair? No. He played just as hard on the defensive end as he did on the offensive!

This is only the second time all season that the Lakers got more than 60 points from their dynamic duo. Why is that? Well, let’s talk about the rest of the team! Read on!
