Rajon Rondo: Stay

Look, if you go back through the Lake Show Life archives and look at my old articles about Rajon Rondo then you are going to call me the biggest hypocrite in the world. I was all-in that this was the last year Rondo would be a Laker and that he would end up showing his true colors in the NBA Playoffs.

I was right about him showing his true colors in the playoffs. I was wrong about what those colors looked like. Playoff Rondo looked to be in full-form as Rondo was fantastic for the Lakers off of the bench and was arguably the third-best player on the team once he returned.

Look, I do not care how frustrating he might be in the regular season and if he losses a game or two for the Lakers in the regular season I think it is fine at this point. We know that he is going to contribute in some capacity in the NBA Playoffs.

He played his way onto this roster. Laker fans did not think it was possible but I guarantee that Vogel and co. knew that it was coming.

Rondo averaged 8.9 points, 6.6 assists, 4.3 rebounds and 1.5 steals per game in the playoffs. Most importantly (and surprisingly), Rondo shot 40 percent from beyond the arc on 3.1 attempts per game. That is massive.

Rondo has to be on this team moving forward.
