Kyle Kuzma and Danny Green: Traded together

The Los Angeles Lakers do not need Danny Green and Kyle Kuzma next season. If they can find a trade that improves the team (we are eyeballing Victor Oladipo here at Lake Show Life) then the Los Angeles Lakers will absolutely pull the trigger.

Green was not good in the NBA Playoffs and the Lakers are definitely fine without him. While he still played solid defense, the Lakers showed that they have defensive depth in the backcourt and the team can find someone else to hit threes.

Side note: sending Danny Green death threats over his missed Game 5 winner is never ever, ever okay. I don’t care if he goes 0-50 from beyond the arc. The great readers here at Lake Show Life know this, just wanted to reiterate.

Kuzma is erratic in his performance, and quite frankly, Markieff Morris is a more well-rounded and consistent version of Kuzma off the bench.

There is this misconception that Kyle Kuzma is a long-term option. He isn’t. He is a restricted free agent after the 2020-21 season and any team can come in and offer his something that the Lakers do not want to match. Think Julius Randle a few years ago.

Might as well capitalize and trade him while they can. Danny Green has the perfect contract to get someone like Oladipo and is still talented enough to have trade value.

I genuinely think we see Green and Kuzma traded away from the Los Angeles Lakers this offseason in the same trade, perhaps with JaVale McGee included.
