2. There are several options out there and the Los Angeles Lakers do have trade capital

If there were no realistic trade targets for the Los Angeles Lakers then none of this would matter. However, there are some names that are potentially going to be on the market this season that could interest the Lakers.

Victor Oladipo is a big name that I really think fits nicely in LA. He has only one year left on his contract, which sets up nicely for a big splash in the following offseason and has said that he does not care about being “the” guy, he just wants to win a ring and reportedly wants out of Indiana.

There are other options outside of a big Oladipo splash. Buddy Hield is an enticing one (lookout for an article on that here at Lake Show Life soon) as is someone such as Zach LaVine. All great options to be third stars.

Even if the Lakers do not get them, they could go the lesser route and bring in someone such as Derrick Rose, who would still be a really nice addition to this roster.

The Lakers do not have a lot of trade bait but they do have some valuable pieces. Most notably is Danny Green and Kyle Kuzma. The Lakers will be just fine without those two and can build a package around them and even the 29th pick in the 2020 NBA Draft.

It is not something that will get a superstar but it could be something to get one year of Victor Oladipo.
