3. Indiana Pacers

Need for a forward?

There is not a pressing need for a forward in Indiana, but the Pacers certainly could use the depth. Domantas Sabonis essentially plays the five and if the team has any plans of phasing Myles Turner out then Kuzma gives the team nice depth at the four.

Even with Turner, Kuzma can still find his place as a three-four either in the starting lineup or on the bench if they ever want to start Sabonis and Turner together. He is certainly a better option than T.J. Leaf.

Do they have the money to extend him?

They should. The Pacers do not have a lot of salary cap space when Kuzma is going to be a free agent but they should have more than enough to sign him to the deal that he is worth. Then, the Pacers have even more salary cap space freeing up in the following years, making the situation easy to handle in Indiana.

Are there any interesting trade pieces on the Indiana Pacers?

This is the main reason why the Indiana Pacers are on this list. There is a very interesting trade piece and his name is Victor Oladipo.

Oladipo reportedly wants out of Indiana, has only one more year left on his deal and has said that he cares more about winning a championship than his role on a team. Doesn’t that sound like the makings of a trade to the Los Angeles Lakers?
