2. Alec Burks

Alec Burks is not one of the elite three-point shooters in the NBA but he is quietly one of the better shooters available in free agency this offseason. Because of that, the Lakers can likely sign him to a relatively cheap deal, paying less for him than they probably would have for KCP if he opted into his deal.

Burks has bounced from team to team in his NBA career and started last season with the Golden State Warriors. Burks was a solid shooter there and was asked to shoot at a higher volume than he ever had in his career, in large part because the Warriors didn’t really have anyone.

He finished the season with the Philadelphia 76ers and that is when he really starting shooting the rock well. In 18 games with Philly, Burks shot 41.6% from beyond the arc in 4.3 attempts per game. He finished the season with a 38.5% mark from beyond the arc in 4.6 attempts per game.

His shooting really suffered in the NBA Playoffs but that had more to do with playing a good defensive team like the Celtics with a really banged up 76ers team. I would take that small of a sample size with a grain of salt.

Burks is simply another solid three-point shooting wing that the Lakers could add to the rotation to replace other options for relatively cheap. He is not the main option (there are better on this list) but he is not a bad option.
