5. Danilo Gallinari

There is not a realistic free-agent target this offseason that I love more than Danilo Gallinari. Gallinari would be such an exceptional get for the Los Angeles Lakers this offseason and would open the doors for so much more to happen.

While Kyle Kuzma has hit moments, he is wildly inconsistent and the Lakers proved that they can win a title even when Kuzma plays poorly. For that reason, I would love to see Kuzma get dealt in a trade for someone like Derrick Rose and the Lakers bring in Gallinari on an MLE deal to replace Kuzma.

Gallinari on an MLE deal is absolutely a possibility. He recently said that the money is not so much a factor anymore, that winning an NBA title is. He still will make more than a veteran minimum deal, though, so a 2-3 year MLE contract seems like the most likely outcome.

Gallinari was a big reason why the Oklahoma City Thunder blew every expectation out of the water this season and would be the perfect sixth man to bring off of the bench and stretch the floor while also being on the court to close games.

He essentially is a version of Kyle Kuzma that is far more consistent and has much more experience, even if Kuzma just won a championship.

Gallinari shot 40.5% from beyond the arc last season and has shot a combined 41.8% over the last two seasons. He averaged 18.7 points and 5.2 rebounds per game.
