1. He has playoff experience
Schroder may be young, but he’s not exactly a newbie to pressure situations.
In all but one of his seven seasons, his team has advanced to the NBA playoffs, and he has gotten as far as the conference finals to boot.
This means that Schroder won’t be awed by the bright lights of the postseason, or shrink much under pressure.
Sure, his shooting percentages in the playoffs are lower than in the regular season, but on a team with great leaders such as James and Rajon Rondo (if he opts into the last year on his contract), it may not be much of an issue.
The Los Angeles Lakers are all about one thing: winning world championships. If you’re a good or great player and you find your way onto the team and play badly in the playoffs, you’ll get exposed and criticized.
At the very least, Schroder won’t have any real excuse to do so if he indeed ends up wearing the Purple and Gold next season.
