4. Trade for Victor Oladipo
There are legitimate legs that Victor Oladipo gets traded from the Indiana Pacers this offseason and the Los Angeles Lakers would be a tremendous fit for the young guard. The trade package for Oladipo that I conjured up is Danny Green, Kyle Kuzma, Devontae Cacok and a future second-round pick.
That might not seem like that much for Oladipo but he does not have that much trade value. Oladipo has battled injuries and only has one more year left under contract, not giving the Pacers much trade leverage.
For Oladipo, they get a solid three-and-D player as well as a young player to build around in Kyle Kuzma. Cacok is a player with some upside.
5. Trade for Derrick Rose
I really like the idea of the Los Angeles Lakers trading for Derrick Rose and yes, it is possible even if the team trades for Victor Oladipo. Although, the Lakers would need some help. The trade package that I came up with was Talen Horton-Tucker, JaVale McGee and the 2020 first-round pick for Rose and two future second-round picks.
The Lakers would need help as they would need McGee to agree to opt into his deal to make this trade happen but I do think he would be willing. The reason being is that he is not going to get more in free agency and he knows he would eventually get bought out from Detroit and then would be a premier buyout option later in the season.
THT is a young guard with potential that is sad to lose but he is so young that the Lakers might not have enough time to develop him and the first-round pick is the icing on the cake for the Pistons. Again, it is just one year of Rose, so they are not going to get that much.
