4. Tyrell Terry, PG
When you think of overall explosiveness from a point guard, Russell Westbrook and De’Aaron Fox come to mind immediately. Terry is cut from that same cloth with his dynamic play style. No, this isn’t to say Terry will be as good as that pair I just mentioned, but he is that type of guy.
Terry averaged 14.6 points per game for Stanford in 2019-2020, shooting 40.8 percent from beyond the arc. He is going to wind up being a one-and-done prospect, but that should not make the Lakers shy away from an asset like Terry. In fact, Jonathan Wasserman of Bleacher Report recently reported that the Lakers have a ton of interest in the explosive point guard.
As with Riller, Dominic Samangy recently tweeted a dashboard portraying Terry’s explosiveness and NBA stock in a numerical sense.
The Lakers would be very fortunate to land Terry on draft day considering his common sense fit on the current roster. Terry was a 99th percentile catch and shoot option in college in his freshman season which is something that fits into any offensive scheme that is run through LeBron James.
Terry is more potential than output at this point in time, but he has arguably the highest upside out of any prospect that will go outside of the lottery.
