1. Los Angeles Lakers vs. Los Angeles Clippers
This should be no surprise to anybody. The two teams that many want to see are the two Staples Center tenants.
The Los Angeles Lakers and the Clippers were two of the favorites coming into the Orlando bubble, as they had been all season long. Both teams boasted duos that were difficult to stop and elite defenses. The only difference was that one of them showed up in the playoffs and the other team crumbled.
Following the disappointment of yet another second-round exit, the Clippers should be looking at changes to improve the chemistry of the team. They have replaced Doc Rivers with former-Laker Tyronn Lue and will have to make the decision of whether to re-sign Montrezl Harrell.
Could they shock everyone and break up Kawhi Leonard and Paul George? With so many options in a nothing-near-normal offseason, this team could look different. But with Leonard able to opt-out of his contract following the coming season, it puts a ton of pressure on the Clippers to do anything it takes to win this year.
Could this be the season we finally get to see the Los Angeles Lakers and Clippers face off in the playoffs? All basketball fans sure hope so.
