Justin Holiday

Justin Holiday is an intriguing option for the shooting guard position. He is versatile and can play the two or the three for the Lakers. The Lakers value versatility in their players and Holiday can provide that.

He hasn’t shot great from the field for his career, as he sits at 39.6%. But he can shoot the 3-pointer which LeBron led teams have always done well. He is 36% from deep in his career and is coming off a season where he shot 40.5% from 3-point range.

His value is also positive on the defensive end, where he started his career off very well. He had a few seasons where his play on the defensive end slipped. But last year his per 100 pace defense was a 107, he also had 2.6 defensive win shares and a 1.8 DBPM.

So he will provide the team with a solid 3-and-D option. Plus his numbers should go up on each end playing with LeBron and AD.

His market value has fluctuated, but with a bi-annual exception available for the Lakers. Maybe a two-year deal which would be close to $7.3 million does the trick. That would be a great value steal here.
