Davis Bertans

The Los Angeles Lakers thrive off shooting the 3-point ball. If they want a guy that can get hot from there and is a certified sniper. Davis Bertans is their guy.

Bertans is an elite 3-point shooter. Best one on the market this offseason. He can shoot from anywhere on the court and his range is unreal for a guy his size. He is 6’10 and has been known to pull up from 35 feet in the middle of a game.

He has a ton of confidence and would be tremendous spreading the floor for this Lakers team. He is a career 41.1% 3-point shooter and is coming off his best season as a pro. He shot 42.4% from deep last year for the Washington Wizards and averaged 15.4 points per game.

His market value will be determined by how badly shooting is valued this offseason. Teams are preparing for the 2021 offseason, so this gives the Lakers an advantage. They can spend now, as 2021 really is a summer that teams like the Knicks and Heat are looking towards.

The Lakers could have cap available if they trade Danny Green. That could allow them to sign both Gallinari and Bertans. That would be an A+ offseason right there and both guys could help boost the Lakers to the most efficient offense of all time.

If the Lakers look to go shooting, this is the signing they want to make. He doesn’t provide much defense. But his value on the offensive end outweighs that.
