2. Danuel House

This is an interesting one here. Danuel House could be available because it was reported he was frustrated in Houston. There was also the bizarre incident that happened in the bubble that led to his exit before the end of the Lakers-Rockets series.

What the cost would be remains to be seen. But the Rockets lack assets and if they decide a tear down is coming they could look to stockpile picks. Time will tell if things can be repaired in Houston with the amount that has been revealed the last week.

But the Lakers showed they’re willing to give players fresh starts. They did so last season with Dion Waiters, who himself had a bizarre incident with gummies in Miami. House could see the same thing happen for him and play with veterans and coaches who hold players accountable.

His 39% clip from 3-point range over these last two seasons with the Rockets would help the Lakers. He hasn’t graded out well on the defensive end, but he shows high energy and will compete. So with better defenders around him, his efficiency should get better.

It will be something to monitor in Houston but if they decide to start trading guys and restock their assets. It’s worth a call for Pelinka.
