This is so good this should be Lakers rumors…The Clippers may be moving Paul George for Russell Westbrook!

According to Brandon “Scoop B” Robinson, there might be a suitor for Russell Westbrook’s albatross contract. Who? The Los Angeles Clippers.

“Scoop B” reported on Nov. 13 that there have been preliminary trade talks between the Rockets/Clippers about a huge trade that goes down like this.

Rockets receive: Paul George

Clippers receive Russell Westbrook, Robert Covington, 2023 First-Round Pick.

Now Robert Covington has been traded to the Portland Trail Blazers and Westbrook’s contract does line up perfectly with John Wall’s contract, who now has made it clear he wants out of Washington.

But now that Montrezl Harrell is a Laker, it might prompt the Clippers to make a rash move. This could happen for two reasons.

  • One, Harrell leaving for pennies on the dollar to go to the Clippers biggest rival shines the light on how bad the locker chemistry was last season in the Clippers collapse. Most of the players blamed Paul George. George asking for more commitment from his teammates after disappearing in Game 7 against the Nuggets was not a good look.
  • Two, Paul George has been a disaster in hindsight. Not only on the court, but in the long term future of the Clippers going forward. All of those first-round picks the Clippers gave up for George has helped make Thunder’s executive Sam Presti the most interesting man in the NBA this week with all of those first-round picks in the future. About half of them belong to the Clippers.

If Jerry West and company make the trade, it won’t be about Russell’s talent, it will be admitting to a mistake while getting back a future first-round pick.

Instead of the Lakers reacting to Clippers’ moves for the last couple of seasons, the tables have turned drastically.

Before you dismiss Mr. Robinson’s credentials, J.R. Smith did make the Lakers roster right? Lake Show Life knew what was happening…in January!

In this article, this would be considered as Lakers rumors. But if the next Rob Pelinka move comes to fruition, this will not only be a rumor but a conspiracy theory that will anger the NBA like the rescinded Chris Paul trade.
