2. Trevor Ariza

How about a familiar face coming back to Los Angeles? Trevor Ariza won a championship with the Lakers back in 2009 and has since bounced around the NBA. He has been a solid player shooting 35.2% from 3-point range.

He provides tough defense, no stop in his career has he had a negative DBPM or negative defensive win shares. Even at the age of 35, he can still contribute to a team.

Recently traded to the Oklahoma City Thunder it remains to be seen what the future holds for Ariza. He more than likely would work with the team to be bought out if he can’t be traded. Watching Sam Presti this offseason it is no guarantee that will happen though.

But if he does hit the market the Lakers should be top of the list. He has spent a lot of time in the area in his career. He also went to UCLA to play his college ball.

He is another player who wouldn’t command more than a veteran minimum deal. As he would be getting a large salary still if he was bought out. This could be great value to help the Lakers off the bench with a reunion here.
