What a Bradley Beal trade would mean for the Washington Wizards

If the Washington Wizards were to trade John Wall, it would signal a desire to cut costs. If the Wizards were to trade Bradley Beal, it would signal a complete rebuild.

Without Beal this franchise would sink straight to the bottom of the standings, ensuring a high draft pick to help fuel a potential rebuild. Tommy Sheppard could look towards building through the draft to potentially find themselves their next big star, something that they hoped would happen when they drafted John Wall.

Signing players on rookie contracts would also give the team maximum flexibility to preserve cap space should they decide to fast-forward the process by signing key players.

In a time where teams are going to be seeing devastating revenue losses, the Wizards would be able to pull the plug on a team that hasn’t been able to show that they can compete in a weak Eastern Conference.

After a string of bad luck with their franchise star John Wall, would you blame the Wizards for searching for a refresh?
