Lakers and Davis work together to benefit each other

The Lakers with this extension packed with LeBron’s extension show this team is in it to win for a long time. It also shows that the team will give up its pursuit of Giannis Antetokounmpo after some chatter started this offseason. With LeBron, AD and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope set to make over $90 million in 2021, those dreams are over.

But it was always a long shot to begin with, so the Lakers can now go forward and not have to answer those questions. They will always get good players that will come to Los Angeles on small deals. As the team got absolute steals with Montrezl Harrell and Wesley Matthews.

Last season was a toll on everyone with the pandemic, social justice and so much going on off the court. There was a lot of tension in the world and the players were packed in a bubble and couldn’t leave.

So now the Lakers can move forward knowing they can play basketball and players can do their work off the court. Because contracts and trade talk get exhausting as a year goes on.

Good thing for the Lakers is those questions are squashed for at least three years.
