#3: Wilson Chandler

Another veteran player that the Lakers should be targeting is Wilson Chandler. Chandler is a player that is used to not playing a major role in a rotation. The four previous teams he has been a part of, the Denver Nuggets, Philadelphia 76ers, Los Angeles Clippers, and the Brooklyn Nets, were teams that were very deep.

As a result of this, Chandler knows how to impact the game in a very short amount of time on the floor. Along with this, Chandler will have no issues coming off of the bench or even having quite a few games that he will not play in.

When on the court, Chandler would be another great wing defender for the Lakers. This is something that would be very beneficial in the playoffs.

It seems nearly impossible that the Lakers will go another season without facing off against the Los Angeles Clippers in the playoffs. With the Clippers having a handful of wing players that can take over a game on the offensive side of the ball, having a player like Chandler to slow one of them down would be great for the Lakers.

This would be beneficial when facing off against many other teams in the Western Conference as well. It was made very clear in the playoff matchup against the Denver Nuggets that they area very young and deep team that will be around for a while. They had great depth at the wing in players like Jamal Murray, Michael Porter Jr., and Gary Harris among others.

While he would likely not spend much time on the court for the Lakers during the regular season, his defensive efforts could be a game-changer once the playoffs begin.
