Happy New Year to all of our great readers here at Lake Show Life!

This will be the last Lake Show Life Lessons extended post game of 2020. To say 2020 has been a rough year for the entire world would be a complete understatement. Our readers turned a simple concept into a party atmosphere that led to all time engagements in the comment section.

On a side note, it would have been a lot more fun had the Los Angeles Clippers not messed things up in the playoffs!

But it’s all in fun. Thanks to you readers, Lake Show Life Lessons has been a success for two years. It was around when the Lakers stunk. Now the series is in what could be a multi-year dynasty era.

Who would have thought that around one year ago to this moment we had Kobe Bryant and his daughter, Gianna in the Staples Center.

Less than a month later, he was gone. I found out about his death actually engaging with a reader about LeBron James passing him on the all time scoring list the night before. We saw the breaking news together. This is how close I am to some of the readers that know this game, love the Lakers and take time out of their day to actually read every post. It don’t get more humbling than that.

This site has made it through the Kobe tragedy, the NBA shutdown, the unknown future of the COVID-19 pandemic, the social unrest coverage that put LeBron James in the news, and the restart in the bubble all the way to the NBA title. Skip the narratives, the Lakers earned the title.

Even when the racism the country was dealing with trickled into the comment section with “Stick to sports” or “Just shut up and cover basketball”,  the readers defended the section and set the tone of respect. That classy practice goes on to this day. The last paragraph on the first page honors them.

To those readers that I am talking about, thank you for giving the motivation to stay up at night to do these (Some of these late nights are brutal!). The series will be around as long as you want them. Hopefully Lake Show Life has given you a place to relax through the tough times in this pandemic.

Happy New Year! Crank up 2021 in a couple of days!

Next. 5 New Year's resolutions for the Lakers. dark
