2. The Los Angeles Lakers trading for Derrick Rose

Derrick Rose has been heavily connected to the Los Angeles Lakers for quite some time now. It really looked like Rose was going to get traded to the Lakers during the trade deadline last year but it was never meant to be.

Then, rumors again resurfaced in the offseason that the Lakers were potentially interested in adding Rose. Still, nothing happened. With all of this history and the fact that Rose is on an expiring deal on an awful team, he is naturally going to be one of the most-talked-about names once the trade deadline gets close.

However, he should not be talked about as a Los Angeles Lakers target. While I was all aboard the Rose train in the past, it just no longer makes sense to trade for the former MVP with what the Lakers have on the roster.

The rumors have since slowed down, albeit there still are dream packages that are being put together that would land Rose in LA. The rumors and speculation will eventually pick back up again once the trade deadline looms and we are warning you now not to get too invested.

With Dennis Schroder playing 30 minutes and with the other guards on the roster, there just really is no point in even pursuing Rose any longer.
