AD sent a message to Christian Wood…Leave Los Angeles Lakers stars out of your mouths!

In the age of the internet, two things are all the rage these days. One, internet trollers that hide behind burner accounts spouting propaganda and two, video of interviews that can rile up the wrong person. Unfortunately for Christian Wood, he fell under the video part of this situation.

It’s another reminder of watching what you ask for…

"“There’s a few games that I’ve circled on the calendar..and playing against him and the Lakers is definitely a game I circled.”"

Because Christian Wood sure got it. Now he is the third player that made the mistake of raising the eyebrows of Lakers superstars.

  • The first player was Gary Trent Jr. of the Portland Trail Blazers. In the first round of the playoffs, he started mouthing off to LeBron James with Portland up 1-0 in last year’s first round series. LeBron spent the rest of the series in the post and abused Trent Jr. Portland did not win another game that series.
  • The second player was Dillon Brooks a few days ago. He knocked LeBron down and screamed “AND ONE!” after scoring the basket. By the time the game ended, LeBron put on an offensive clinic closing the game out with fade-away after fade-away.

After the last basket, LeBron James made it a point to let Dillion Brooks and the Memphis Grizzlies know how he felt about the disrespect.

When Christian Wood found himself on the same court as Anthony Davis on Sunday, he got smoked like a pack of Kools.

From now on those circled games may be for personal reasons, injury or sick leave. After a game like this, Wood will definitely watch his mouth before facing the Lakers.

Anthony Davis was handing out business cards hitting his first nine shots on his way to 27 points (9-12 shooting, 9-10 from the line!), 4 rebounds, 3 blocks and an assist. AD has now blocked three shots in four straight games. To put this in perspective, he had 5 blocks in the Lakers first five games.

Wood scored 23 points in the game, but those stats were accumulated long after Davis was on the bench.

The most impressive part of Anthony Davis’ performance that he upped his level of defense after calling out the Lakers effort. He anchored a dominant defense that forced the Rockets into a season high 21 turnovers

Why unestablished players keep mouthing off in LeBron and AD’s direction is a mystery that needs to be solved. These two reside in the top five positions in the NBA. They automatically take turns at the number one spot if inspired.

Stop pulling on Superman’s cape folks. Both of them.

Speaking of LeBron James, it’s no time like the present to start a discussion on how he played. Read on to see how he played.
