Anthony Davis did not “suck” in this game for the Los Angeles Lakers!

Lake Show Life fun fact: Jared Dudley had a tweet about Anthony Davis’ performance and LeBron James retweeted it. We could stop here!

Entering the Chicago Bulls game, Anthony Davis was in a scoring lull (FOR HIM!) failing to hit the  20 point plateau in five straight games putting up an average of 17.8 over that span. For the season, AD was averaging  just 21.1 points, his lowest mark since his second year.

After the Milwaukee Bucks win on Thursday, he wasn’t happy with his play according to ESPN’s Dave McMenamin.

"“Right now, to be hard on myself, man, I think I suck right now,”  “I’m not making shots. I’m not making free throws. But I think tonight my aggressiveness, just being a [post-up threat] and getting to the paint, allowed guys to get open.”"

Lake Show Life showed the Lakers fans why he was in our opinion overreacting in Lake Show Life Lessons.

Lakers Head Coach, Frank Vogel agreed with our assessment.

"“No, I don’t think it was warranted,” Frank Vogel said on Saturday to Lakers reporters when asked about Davis’ harsh self-assessment. “He’s not in rhythm likes he’s used to, but he’s still doing a lot of winning things, on both sides of the ball … He’s got a high bar set for himself, and he’s going to be hard on himself when he falls short of that.” “I’m really not concerned about Anthony Davis,” he added."

Chalk up one more for coach Vogel and Lake Show Life. Anthony Davis rolled the Bulls frontline with 37 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals and a block in only 28 minutes. In short, this is what AD did to the Chicago frontline.

He had 17 points in the first frame fueling a 18-2 spurt.  Just look at his first half stats, especially shooting percentage.

  • 38 offensive possessions.
  • 26 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists and a steal.
  • 86 percent true shooting.

This is Wilt Chamberlain numbers folks.

While Anthony Davis stole the show like an actor on the Broadway musical, it opened up floodgate lanes for LeBron James to work. Even though he didn’t shoot well, he amazed everyone with his basketball I.Q. Keep reading to see what we are talking about!
