Kyle Kuzma is growing on the Los Angeles Lakers!

With Anthony Davis out, it was not a surprise that Kyle Kuzma was inserted into the starting lineup. What was really cool for Kyle was that he had a chance to play in front of his mother who was at the arena. He played a steady game, avoiding early foul trouble to have a strong 9 point first half. He then exploded for 10 more in the third quarter helping the Lakers stay in the game.

Kyle Kuzma finished the night with 22 points (9-17 shooting, 3-7 from distance!), 10 rebounds (3 offensive!) and a block. Watching games like these show the potential of Kyle Kuzma when he starts to figure out how the offense can create openings for him.

As you see in the video above, he trusted the fact that LeBron would hit him with a hit ahead pass if he ran his lane hard. Believe the staff folks, this was not always the case. Much credit goes to assistant coach Jason Kidd and Jared Dudley for staying in his ear and keeping him focused on the long game which is the postseason and potentially another NBA Finals run.

The stats will not show it every game, especially when AD comes back, but Kyle Kuzma’s game is growing. Be patient Lakers fans!

There was talk after the game about the continued tinkering of the rotations. Lake Show Life has something that will help out a lot. Lesson three is the player that Frank Vogel needs to find consistent minutes for ASAP!
