Outside of LeBron and AD, the Los Angeles Lakers starting lineup forgot how to score!

The Lakers starting lineup that consists of Dennis Schroder, Marc Gasol and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope aren’t scoring enough. Period, there is no reason for further discussion.

The game of basketball consists of simple math. The team that scores the most wins. Why have the Lakers fallen behind lately? The three players not named Anthony Davis and LeBron James have started ice cold to start games. Lake Show Life would like to present the evidence from this game.

  • Dennis Schroder: 8 points 3-10 shooting!
  • Kentavious Caldwell-Pope: 7 points 2-6 shooting!
  • Marc Gasol: 5 points 2-4 shooting!

This is not a good look when the starting guard of the opposing team can outscore these three by himself in Jamal Murray.

Jamal Murray had bubble flashbacks giving the Lakers some business cards scoring 25 points with 6 rebounds and 4 assists. He led everyone in the arena with a +27 plus/minus ratio. Okay sure, that’s an All-Star, it happens.

But what about players that no one has ever heard of besides friends, family and Nuggets fans before this contest? Can anyone explain how the Lakers allow bench players to go crazy almost on a nightly basis?

  • Facundo Campazzo: 15 points (4-8 shooting!), 4 assists and 2 steals.
  • Zeke Nnaji: 16 points (5-7 shooting!) and 3 rebounds.

Okay, this is Lakers website right. Okay cool, let’s use a Lakers player to make a point.

Kyle Kuzma for the second straight game put up stats in scoring and rebounding that rivaled the Lakers starters COMBINED! If anyone want to justify this performance as of late and explain how the Lakers can survive going forward. Good luck with that.

They are not alone. It hurts to talk about this guy!

Montrezl Harrell has got to stop crying to the referees:

Montrezl Harrell got himself two quick fouls, lost his rhythm and spent his night looking at the refs side-eyed. Now that Anthony Davis is gone for the immediate future, the Lakers need Harrell to be focused.

If he’s going to bully players in the paint looking for contact, he’s got to expect some of it back without looking to an official for a foul call. He is probably the only player on the roster that is worse than LeBron doing this. Harrell had 4 points and 6 rebounds.

Another game with a collective effort like this and the infamous “LeBron James needs help!” chants will start.

Lake Show Life upset alert:

The Los Angeles Lakers play the Minnesota Timberwolves next. Why is this a upset alert? Well Minnesota is playing better these days with Karl Anthony Towns back in uniform and they just upset the Toronto Raptors. Watch out for Malik Beasley. He’s been on fire this season. If the Lakers don’t get focused and look ahead to Brooklyn on Thursday, they will get burned.
