It is believed that DeMarcus Cousins with be in the Lakers purple and gold with the quickness without one small hiccup. The Houston Rockets want to deal Boogie and get something in return with some type of assets or financial option.

Enter the Los Angeles Lakers. If you are Houston, why let Cousins just walk into the Lakers locker room when they can get something back. Here’s where Markieff Morris comes in.

Find any trade sweetener (A second-round pick or Lakers front row tickets next to Denzel Washington when the Staples Center reopens!) and make a deal. Bottom line, the Lakers need Boogie and can offer something he wants which is meaningful minutes on a contender.

Morris is the easy prediction after going to the media with his gripe about minutes a couple of weeks back.

• He is willing to shoot the ball when he’s open and can knock down the 3 point shot.
• Finally and most importantly, the opposing players will think twice going through the current layup line that the Lakers have had all season long. 
• Now players will think about getting knocked to the floor when DeMarcus is on the floor.
