Miami Heat

Quinn Cook could provide depth to the team that lost to the Los Angeles Lakers in the NBA Finals

The Miami Heat have had a bit of a title hangover this season. While things are currently pointing in the right direction, the team started off poorly and dealt with some covid issues that hurt their depth.

Miami just went into Los Angeles and got some vengeance over the Lakers and one of the main reasons why the Heat won the game was the great play of Kendrick Nunn.

While Nunn was fantastic, it showcased the lack of depth at the point guard position for the Heat. Goran Dragic and Nunn are the only two real point guard on the roster and with Dragic out, as he was against the Lakers, the depth looks woeful.

Nunn had a great game against the Lakers but he needs help.

As already mentioned, Cook is not someone who is going to revolutionize a team. But his experience and his three-point shot are valuable and the depth he adds as a bench scorer to the Heat could wind up making a tangible difference.

The Heat already have three-point specialists who aren’t great on the defensive e end, might as well lean into that identity.
