The Los Angeles Lakers needed to sit LeBron James out if he was going to play like this!

The Lake Show Life staff has a warning to Los Angeles Lakers fans that are really concerned and not just casuals that believe the hype of lazy analysis and advanced stats on the internet.

LeBron James knew that the Los Angeles Lakers had no chance of winning this game and he played like it. He had two goals. One, he wanted to extend his 15+points, 5+ rebounds and 5+ assists streak. Two, he wanted to get some highlights for SportsCenter.

Guess which goal he accomplished?

Okay, let’s get one more of those in there for the LeBron apologists…

Now that the pomp and circumstance is out of the way, let’s deal with what matters. This is the LeBron James that Lake Show Life was criticizing in his first year in Los Angeles. He is officially hiding behind empty statistics and media narratives. He didn’t try Lakers fans, simple and plain.

LeBron James finished with 19 points (7-13 shooting!), 4 rebounds and 4 assists. Why is Lake Show Life so critical? Here’s why? Assuming Dennis Schroder comes back Friday (Better pray he does!), it still won’t matter. LeBron James has checked out until at least the All-Star break.

He knows that he has to put up monster numbers for the Lakers to win a game. It goes back to what was stated in the Brooklyn post-game report last week how opponents will defend the Lakers.

"…shadow the shooters and challenge LeBron to score 40 points or more. The question is…Will he accept it?"

No he won’t. The Utah Jazz read LeBron’s tendencies like a book that led to 4 turnovers and it could have easily been more.

There’s no shame in being LeBron being tired. He’s a human being and the readers of Lake Show Life saw this coming as far back as Super Bowl weekend when the Lakers treated overtime games like a normal day in the NBA. The Los Angeles Lakers coaching staff are just as much to blame as LeBron here (More on them in a minute!).

But these quotes about LeBron being tired are starting to get tired.

The media:

Stop it with the LeBron quotes of not getting tired from NBA broadcasting teams because everyone can see he’s tired and he’s a human being like the rest of us.

LeBron James:

Stop giving out these quotes feeding the narrative that you don’t get tired. Play like you want the MVP like you claim. Keep this up and Luka Doncic will slide back in front of the MVP race.

Finally this 3 point shooting thing…STOP!

Because when you are tired the legs start to go. These 30-foot side step 3 point shots are falling. LeBron shot 1-5 from the arc in this game. Let’s go back nine games shall we?

  • 2-10, 3-9, 1-4, 0-5, 1-4, 1-6, 1-8, 2-10, 1-5; 12-56 (21.4%)

At this point, everybody needs to leave this fatigue thing alone. If the Los Angeles Lakers need to rest the man, sit him down. However, if LeBron James insists on playing, competing at half speed is not doing anybody any favors.

Speaking of the Lakers coaching staff, let’s discuss them next. Read on.
