Los Angeles Lakers: 3 Lessons in blowout win over Golden State Warriors
By Ronald Agers
The “others” all went crazy for the Los Angeles Lakers!
The Los Angeles Lakers had six players score in double figures. That alone shows dominance. Every starter finished with at least 9 points and every bench player except for Jared Dudley and Wesley Matthews Jr. scored in this game.
Maybe the game was over when LeBron shot the buzzer beater before halftime, but Golden State had to know they were in for a long night when Marc Gasol hit his first three shots in a row.

He only took one more shot, but finished with 9 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists and a block. He only played 16 minutes, practicing the LeBron James resting plan for most of the game. Trust Lake Show Life when we tell you, he had a lot of help.
Markieff Morris:
Morris’ play has been so bad lately that if Gasol was not on the roster, Lakers fans would be all over him at this point. In this game, Markieff might have kept the Lakers fans from wishing his brother Marcus was in a Lakers uniform.
Morris played possibly his best game of the season scoring 13 points (4-8 shooting!) with 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Lake Show Life still thinks the Lakers are showcasing him for a trade, but at least NBA GMs won’t be hanging up the phone laughing if Rob Pelinka does call.
Kyle Kuzma:
Kyle’s game is starting to synch in perfectly for the Los Angeles Lakers championship plans. After only scoring 9 points in the last two games combined, Kuzma scored 12 points (4-7 shooting!) on the strength of a pair of 3 pointers. Where Kuzma is becoming a star in his role is on the boards. He had 11 rebounds (3 offensive!) to continue his season long assault on the glass.
Where Lake Show Life sees the growth is his patience on the floor. For the last two years, if Kuz was struggling with his shot, he would start firing up inefficient shots looking for points. Now, he is very comfortable ($40 million can buy a lot of patience!) with his standing on the roster.
Alex Caruso:
Outside of fouling Stephen Curry on 3 point shots (He did it twice!), Alex Caruso had his best game scoring since being put in the NBA Health and Safety protocols. He finished with 13 points (5-8 shooting!), 4 rebounds and 4 assists. His play was most affected by Dennis Schroder’s absence and his return has really helped Caruso take off the last couple of games.
The Los Angeles Lakers play the first game of a back to back against the Phoenix Suns on Tuesday. A victory in this game will bode very well to make up the four game losing streak before the All-Star break with a four game win streak. It’s hard to imagine the Lakers losing to the Sacramento Kings with the offense humming like this.
Lake Show Life has extended its post-game coverage this season! There will be short post-game reports shortly after the game in addition to the extended post-game of Lake Show Life Lessons!
