4. Boston Celtics

The Boston Celtics have really been floundering recently, although the ceiling of this team is higher than they are currently showing. While they are trending in the wrong direction, if everything goes right in Boston then they have just as good of a chance as anyone in the East to make the NBA Finals.

Jayson Tatum is a bonafide superstar and there is a situation in which he is one of the three best players in the NBA Playoffs. Jaylen Brown has taken a huge step forward and if Kemba Walker can get healthy, with Marcus Smart back, the Celtics are an interesting team.

The problem is that everything has to go perfectly for the Clippers to be on the same level as the top contenders in the league and as we know, it is rare for everything to go right in the NBA.

But still, Griffin’s fit on this team is intriguing. He would get to play for a potential contender and could really play himself into a big role. Even if Griffin plays as he did two seasons ago he is far better than Daniel Theis and would play his way into the starting rotation.

The Celtics are really thin at four and if Griffin catches heat from beyond the arc and can provide some sort of presence near the rim then the Celtics would add a completely new dynamic to their game.
