The Los Angeles Lakers are the most historic franchise in the NBA. Sure, they are tied with the Boston Celtics for the most championships in NBA history but the Lakers have had more star power and more defining eras in franchise history.

Most of the Celtics’ championships are from Bill Russell’s insane run during a time in which there were only eight teams in the league. The Lakers’ championships are spread out during multiple different dynasties and some of the greatest players of all-time have suited up in the purple and gold.

Magic Johnson, Kobe Bryant, LeBron James, Jerry West, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Shaquille O’Neal, Wilt Chamberlain, James Worthy, Jamaal Wilkes, Bob McAdoo, Pau Gasol, Elgin Baylor, Gail Goodrich and Anthony Davis. All of those players are Hall of Famers or are well on their way to the Hall of Fame.

That group of players accounts for a grand total of 163 all-star selections. I am not being hyperbolic.

While the Los Angeles Lakers have a long list of bonafide all-stars, they also have some interesting, stranger all-star inclusions throughout the years. In honor of this year’s all-star break, and just seeing team LeBron win for the fourth year in a row, we here at Lake Show Life had something special for our readers.

Here are the three strangest all-stars in Los Angeles Lakers history.
