If the Los Angeles Lakers can get a reasonably healthy Anthony Davis in the playoffs, they will be stronger than even last year!

To Lakers fans that are still complaining about Dwight Howard and JaVale McGee’s exodus to different teams, Lake Show Life has a message.

Relax, because this season is starting to look very similar to last year after the All-Star break. Even though the Lakers have holes that need to be filled, the mission statement of winning games is getting accomplished while Rob Pelinka monitors the NBA looking for potential deals whether it be a trade or the buyout route.

What’s even more important in this situation is the time that is bought for Anthony Davis’ rehab. The Lakers have won four straight and could possibly make it five on Saturday against the Atlanta Hawks.

The time being bought to rest AD’s injuries for the playoffs should keep Lakers Nation thrilled. The bench is now growing as big a weapon as LeBron and AD. The roster is starting to get more comfortable as seen in this game.

Markieff Morris:

Remember when Keef wasn’t happy with his minutes? Now he’s in the starting lineup and has played efficient basketball as of late. In 20 minutes, Morris scored 7 points (3-5 shooting!), with 6 rebounds, 2 assists and a block. With the absence of Gasol and AD, Markieff has looked very comfortable like he did in the playoff run last year.

Damian Jones:

No, he doesn’t play much more than 15 minutes a game, but he plays the pick and roll game very well when he plays. The Lakers will have to seriously consider keeping him on the roster after his second 10-day contract is up. He has not missed a shot over the last two games hitting five straight. Oh, that doesn’t impress you? Let’s extend that to a streak of 15 of his last 16 shots. He probably would be doing this more if he could stay out of foul trouble.

Talen Horton-Tucker:

Man, this dude is going to be on the Los Angeles Lakers roster a long time folks!

The Minnesota Timberwolves have Anthony Edwards. The Charlotte Hornets have LaMelo Ball. But the Los Angeles Lakers have THT. This guy is basically a rookie playing his first real season and he’s not hitting the wall. He scored 12 points with 2 assists. His activity is amazing and he will be a part of the transition when LeBron finally hangs up his sneakers. No one knows when that will be but it has to happen in a few years. Right?

Kyle Kuzma:

This guy is turning into the glue guy for the Los Angeles Lakers. Knocking down four shots from distance is one thing, but doing it at important times is something else. He finished with 12 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists.

What Lake Show Life is saying is that there’s another gear that the Lakers can get to, which is amazing considering the fact that they’re still winning while dealing with roster issues (COVID-19 protocols, concussion protocols and injuries!), and losing Anthony Davis’s services since the middle of February.
