The Los Angeles Lakers celebrated Dwight Howard and Danny Green and then they both stole the show!

The team showed their appreciation for Dwight Howard and Danny Green by presenting each with their championship rings before the game. Then each of them played a part in stealing the show.

Dwight Howard:

After watching Marc Gasol struggle all season, the number one question in the Lake Show Life comment sections is why didn’t the Los Angeles Lakers resign him. This was the type of game that potentially would have caused a mutiny in Lakers Nation. He made an immediate impact in the game with 6 points (3-3 shooting!) with 2 rebounds and a vicious block on Montrezl Harrell.

Then the next chapter of the “Dwightmare” saga that has dominated his career reared its ugly head again as he got ejected after the first quarter.

After the game, Sixers head coach spoke on Dwight’s antics via ESPN.

"“It was a very selfish play,” Philadelphia coach Doc Rivers said. “You’ve got one tech. You can’t get another one. We just have to have better discipline. I get it. There’s a lot of emotion, but we had one center on our team, and he got thrown out. I know there’s emotion, but he’s a veteran. Got to have better discipline.”"

Lakers fans could have warned Rivers of this. Remember when Frank Vogel reprimanded him during the Western Conference Finals last season?

The ejection was the best thing that happened to the Lakers. With the lack of height on the roster and Gasol on a minutes restriction, the Lakers had no answer for for Dwight Howard. The ejection forced Philadelphia to go small and the Lake Show pulled even at halftime.

Danny Green:

Danny Green was the last player the Los Angeles Lakers wanted to be the story of the game. After being the target of criticism during the NBA Finals that included death threats for missing a series clinching 3 pointer in Game 5, karma bit back hard.

Danny Green finished his best game of the season with 28 points (9-14 shooting!), 5 rebounds, 2 blocks and a steal. He did most of his damage behind the arc finishing one 3 pointer short of his career high with eight 3 pointers in twelve attempts.

Now that the past is officially over with these players getting their rings, let’s take a look at the players of the present. This player provided a lot of action in the beginning but the production came to late. Read on to see who this player is.
