Los Angeles Lakers: 4 lessons from losing Andre Drummond vs. Bucks
By Ronald Agers
Andre Drummond showed some good things that the Los Angeles Lakers can use!
Los Angeles Lakers fans… Andre Drummond will make a big difference for the Los Angeles Lakers when he gets his rhythm and timing back. It only took the first three minutes of the game for the staff to figure it out.
On defense?
He blocked Donte Divencenzo’s dunk with excellent rotation after initial rim protection.
He drew an offensive foul on Giannis Antetokounmpo.
On offense?
Drummond shows his touch with this floater in the lane
Drummond finished with only 4 points and 2 rebounds.
Assuming the injury isn’t serious (Like a 275 pound Brook Lopez stepping on your toe and losing a toenail isn’t serious!), it’s going to take time to get Andre Drummond to shake off the rust from not playing a game since BEFORE the All-Star break.
Patience will be required to allow Dre to get acclimated to the speed and pace of the NBA game. Please believe him when he says he’s in shape. It does not matter how much training a player has with drills and shooting while trying to return to the court, there is no comparison to actually playing an NBA game.
With this injury, we all might want to give Andre Drummond 2-3 weeks to get everything together.
