3. Victor Oladipo to the Miami Heat

Victor Oladipo was traded from the Houston Rockets to the Miami Heat for a bag of peanuts. The Heat just had to trade Kelly Olynk, Avery Bradley and a pick swap that is not that consequential for Oladipo. It was as cheap of a trade that you could pull off for a player like Oladipo.

This is kind of hit or miss for the Miami Heat. The Heat will absolutely get enough value out of Oladipo to justify the trade because it was so minimal, but he could very well be the fifth most impactful move on this list depending on how it plays out.

The best-case scenario for Oladipo is that he finds his defensive presence on the Heat, which would not be shocking whatsoever. Oladipo then would become this dangerous two-way player who can guard the other team’s best backcourt player while being a capable scoring option.

The Heat, although they slumped at times this season, have great shooters in Duncan Robinson and Tyler Herro. They can afford the fact that Oladipo is not the best shooter and bank on him scoring 10-15 a night with exceptional defense.

Oladipo is someone who would have been great on the Los Angeles Lakers, who definitely could have afforded to send a better package than Bradley and Olynyk.
