Anthony Davis played outstanding for the Los Angeles Lakers! Here’s why that is a bad thing!
The Los Angeles Lakers faithful had to be so frustrated watching Anthony Davis play under these circumstances. The Lake Show Life Lessons staff was too. His skillset is mindboggling to the point that no big man in the NBA can stop him if he’s healthy. How do we know? Plays like this.
His skillset is helping him survive because it is plain to see that he is in so much pain. He was seen tying his shoes tighter in the first half and he fell down numerous times. He finished with 14 points with six rebounds and four assists in the first half alone.
The Blazers placed Robert Covington, Carmelo Anthony, and, at times, Enes Kanter on him defensively. Last year in the bubble, Portland wouldn’t even dream of even trying this defensive scheme. They tried to show the NBA that AD is not the same guy from last year.
Anthony Davis had to DOMINATE this matchup especially with his teammates scoring so inconsistently this season and without LeBron James. In the second half, he destroyed this matchup.
His points came from mid-range jumpers…long range shots from behind the arc…

By the end of the game, AD was beating up smaller players down low and out-quicking the centers. The only thing this man did wrong was from the charity stripe where he missed five free throws.
Davis played far and away the best game of his comeback (No check that, the season!), scoring 36 points (12-23 shooting!), 12 rebounds (three offensive that led to immediate points), five assists and a block.
There was a small debate about an article wondering if Davis handle the pressure of carrying the Lakers to the finish line.
On this night? Yes, AD can single-handedly carry this team on both ends. But what’s the bad thing? Damian Lillard canceled Davis out with his performance. The Lakers big man needed some help.
Maybe Kyle Kuzma could help? PFFT! Lake Show Life has a prediction about Kuz. Go to the last lesson to read it.
