3. Orlando Magic

The Orlando Magic are in a very similar situation as the Sacramento Kings. While the Magic, and the Kings for that matter, definitely do not view themselves as title-contenders it would not be surprising if there is legitimate buzz inside the building that they could make another bid at the playoffs.

It does not matter that the team traded Nikola Vucecic. The team has young exciting players and if the lottery falls their way perhaps they can get an exciting rookie in this draft as well. Bringing in veteran role players like Harrell is something a team does in year one of this journey.

The Magic are not bad enough where they need to tank and they should look at the likes of Jonathan Isaac, Wendell Carter Jr. and Markelle Fultz as the building blocks. Add in a tenacious veteran like Harrell as the team’s big signing and you can pass the offseason as a successful one.

MUST-READ: A way-too-early offseason wishlist

It might not make a ton of sense but look at the Detroit Pistons. They had no problem throwing money at Jerami Grant and the Magic would likely be the same way with a player of Harrell’s caliber. And like with the Kings, the Magic would know that they are getting a potential trade chip in the future as well.

The frontcourt in Orlando is a bit more crowded with Carter and Mo Bamba but the team could make it work with Harrell playing some four in a bigger lineup.
