Former all-stars the Los Angeles Lakers could sign: Goran Dragic

Goran Dragic is another player from the Miami Heat that could make sense for the Los Angeles Lakers. The Heat do have a team-option for next season but it is a bit pricey for Dragic at this point in his career and it would be shocking to see the team to commit to that much money.

The Heat would have to pay Dragic $19.4 million, which is high over his market value and the money could be spent better elsewhere. Thus, it is probably a safe assumption to say that Dragic will be a free agent and the Lakers could sign him.

The price for Dragic should not be that high and he would give the Lakers that second playmaker off the bench. While Rose might be a better fit, Dragic would not be too shabby himself and could be excellent as a sixth man for LA.

The only concern is his health with age. We saw him get hurt in the NBA Finals against the Lakers and he was not 100% this past season. For a team that was just eliminated because of injuries, this could be a big red flag.

You could also make the case for a sign-and-trade for Dragic as well. Perhaps the Lakers want to bring in a point guard but do not want to commit past this upcoming season. In that scenario, the Lakers could essentially flip multiple years of Schroder to the Heat for one year of Dragic, assuming Schorder signs for something around $20 million.
