Former all-stars the Los Angeles Lakers could sign: Jeff Tegaue

The final former all-star on this list, Jeff Teague is by far the worst player on this list as he is the farthest from his prime. His prime was not as good as the other players on this list but he is still a former all-star as he has one nod under his belt.

Teague is at the point of his career where he is going to sign veteran minimum deals with contending teams for the next 2-3 years as he chases a ring. He is not going to play a huge role wherever he goes but for a team like the Lakers, who need depth, Teague would not be a bad signing whatsoever.

Teague is not going to play a big role on the team nor should he. If Teague is playing 20+ minutes a night then the Lakers probably are not in great shape. However, there is nothing wrong with bringing in depth and getting 15-18 minutes out of Teague off the bench.

He is not a great playmaker but he does add some of that dynamic while also adding a decent shooting stroke. Teague shot a solid 43.9% from beyond the arc in 1.5 attempts per game this season.

What Teague produced this season is exactly what the Lakers should want if they were to bring him in. He averaged 17.3 minutes per game with 6.7 points, 2.4 assists and 1.6 rebounds.

He just turned 33 on the day that this article was written, so he has a few more years left in him. Perhaps the Los Angeles Lakers could be a pit stop along the way to retirement.
