Los Angeles Lakers greatest scorers: 13. Cedric Ceballos
Cedric Ceballos was one of the most difficult players to place in these rankings. On the one hand, the talented small forward only spent three seasons with the Lakers in the mid 1990s and was best known for his time elsewhere in the league. On the other hand, Ceballos was also fantastic in Los Angeles for the brief time he was there in terms of his scoring prowess. Ultimately, No. 12 in these all time rankings felt right.
Ceballos is one of seven players in Lakers history to average more than 20 points per game over his time with the franchise, putting up 20.9 points per contest over his 144 games with the team. That he played only 144 games and scored over 3000 total points for the Lakers is relatively remarkable. Considering that he shot 51.7 percent from the field in spite shooting only 32.5 percent from three is pretty incredible in itself.
Ceballos was a force to be reckoned with when he was with the Lakers, though it was a strange time for the organization while he was there and though his run with the Lakers was so brief. However, he was producing at such a high level during his tenure in Los Angeles that you can’t deny his place and deserved spot in these rankings.
