Los Angeles Lakers greatest scorers: 10. Gail Goodrich

Gail Goodrich is one of the unsung heroes of the Lakers in the history of the organization. The guard played alongside many other greats in the history of the franchise such as Jerry West, Wilt Chamberlain, and Elgin Baylor. However, Goodrich often gets overlooked in the context of the great players in Lakers history, but that’s a mistake. However, he won’t be overlooked in these rankings as one of the greatest scorers in team history.

Goodrich spent nine seasons with the Lakers in his career and racked up an impressive 13,044 total points over his time with the Lakers. He put up that number in only 687 games as a part of the organization, good for an average of 19 points per game. Even more impressive is the fact that he put up those numbers from the guard position while shooting 46 percent from the floor and playing alongside many other prolific scorers.

Goodrich deserves to get his due in the canon of Lakers all-time greats whenever that conversation comes up. Lake Show Life is certainly giving him that as he was a no-brainer to be slotted into the top 10 of the list of the franchise’s greatest scorers ever.
