Golden State Warriors: Kelly Oubre Jr.

The Golden State Warriors are definitely not going to be sellers this offseason. Stephen Curry is coming off of an insane season, Klay Thompson is slated to return and the Warriors are one move away with James Wiseman from potentially becoming one of the favorites for the NBA Championship.

With that being said, the only move that really makes sense for the Warriors to make would be a sign-and-trade. Kelly Oubre Jr. is a free agent this offseason and he is the prime candidate for Warriors to sign-and-trade.

The real question is whether or not the Warriors would essentially want to swap assets and take on Schroder for Oubre. You could make the case for the Warriors wanting to make that swap as the ceiling is higher with Schroder and once again, they can get something for the asset. The Warriors are the best at that.

As far as the Lakers are concerned, this would be an option if there is nothing better on the table. While Oubre is not more talented than Schroder, he would be a better fit for this team and sometimes the fit means everything. And once again, it is better to get something for Schroder rather than let him walk.

It would not move the needle significantly for either team, but it would allow them to essentially accomplish the same goal of asset management.
