3. Tre Mann

There is no coincidence that two players named Tre made the list of the best 3-point shooters that the Lakers could possibly draft this year, and Mann is probably the better shooter of the two. He was the leading scorer for a Florida team that won a game in the NCAA tournament last season.

He has solid size at 6’5″ 190  pounds, so he could play either guard position at the next level making him an intriguing prospect if he falls to the Lakers towards the end of the first round. His range would easily translate to the NBA because he showed he can shoot well beyond the college 3-point line last season.

The one concerning thing about Mann’s ability to shoot the three is that he only did it for one season at an acceptable rate. He shot over 40% his sophomore season, and his freshman year he struggled shooting from deep at 27.5%.

His major improvement shooting the ball could have been an anomaly and he might regress back to the mean to more of a 35% shooter in the NBA. But the sky is the limit for his shooting stroke if he continues to improve at the rapid rate he did last season.

As a combo guard with shooting ability he mimics some of the same qualities that the last first-rounder from Florida, Bradley Beal had coming out of college. He will likely be the latest first-round draft pick for the Gators and it is because he is not just a shooter.

Rebounding and passing are other qualities in his game, running the point for Florida he averaged almost 4 assists a game and was eighteenth in the SEC in rebounding with 5.6 per game, which is impressive for a guard.
