Spencer Dinwiddie

Spencer Dinwiddie is a talented player that sort of reminds a little of Oladipo in that he too has missed a lot of games. He is also coming off a major injury this past season. In June, he declined his $12,300,000 option which means he shall be seeking more money. I have seen those silly rumors about how the Lakers should trade for him and I can’t understand why.

Look, I think Spencer is quite the talent and while he hasn’t had all the time to strut his stuff, we have seen glimpses of what he possibly can do. That being said, is that truly enough to warrant a team such as the Lakers to make a move and pull the trigger for him?

Who knows how things would have gone had he been healthy this past season and how much more of an effect he would have had on the Brooklyn Nets’ success. His current injury has definitely hurt him no doubt as it came at an inopportune time, especially with free agency right around the corner.

Dinwiddie can definitely add a nice amount of talent to whatever team he plays for if he is healthy. After all, he can handle the ball well and can penetrate and shoot the deep ball. That being said, could he be the starting point guard for a team such as the Lakers? If they do acquire him, would he move over to shooting guard? The Los Angeles Lakers should pass.
