1. Victor Oladipo to the Miami Heat: One year, $2.38 million

Maybe I just need to sell all of my Victor Oladipo stocks but I am not giving up on him being a really good NBA player. Oladipo at his best was legitimately one of the best two-way players in the entire game.

However, injuries (and not being in the best situations) caught up to Oladipo and he really hasn’t been the same since the start of the 2019-20 season.

That being said, that is only two years’ worth of sample size and at 29 years old it is way too soon to give up on Oladipo being a great basketball player. I am not ruling out Oladipo returning to form and even if he is 90% of what he used to be he is still an all-star and a fantastic two-way player.

The Miami Heat signed him for the minimum, which is an absolute steal. Even if he is not the best version of himself he still brings a solid rotation player that can produce as much, if not more, than Blake Griffin can as a role player.

The potential for a much higher ceiling is there, though, and that has to be so exciting for the Heat. If everything goes as planned, the Heat could be one of the most dangerous teams in the league. Jimmy Butler, Kyle Lowry, Duncan Robinson, Bam Adebayo and a great version of Victor Oladipo with Tyler Herro as the sixth man is absolutely good enough to make a run at the NBA Finals.

Of course, nothing is guaranteed, but there is a chance that Oladipo could be signing for a lot more money next offseason. That or I have to finally sell my Victor Oladipo stocks.
