2. Victor Oladipo

Victor Oladipo is another wing that would have added depth to the Los Angeles Lakers although out of every person on this list he easily has the highest ceiling. He checks in at no. 2 because that ceiling is not a guarantee and like Porter, there would be a bit of roster overlap.

Again, like Porter though, Oladipo is a better player than Kent Bazemore, even if Oladipo is only 70% of what he was two years ago.

But if Oladipo were to hit his ceiling then he would have been the fourth-best player on the Los Angeles Lakers and it would not have been close. Heck, it would not even be that big of a stretch to say he would be the third-best player if he was 100% of who he was two years ago because of the impact he would have on both ends of the floor.

At his best Oladipo was one of the best two-way players in the entire league. He was easily a top-five defensive player at his position and can score with the best of them on the offensive end.

Even in a reduced capacity, in Frank Vogel’s system, Oladipo could have rediscovered some of his defensive prowess and been an over-qualified sixth man for the Lakers. It was never reported that the Lakers were pursuing Oladipo, although they definitely should have been.
