December 3 vs. Los Angeles Clippers: Win

The Clippers have admittedly had the Los Angeles Lakers’ number in the regular season in recent years but that will not be the case without Kawhi Leonard. The Lakers have too much talent for the Clippers to overcome.

December 7 vs. Boston Celtics: Win

This should be another fun game but it is hard to see the result varying, especially with the Lakers now being the home team.

December 9 at Memphis Grizzlies: Win

This has all the makings of being a trap loss on the road in Memphis, but with the Grizzlies securing the surprise win earlier in the year the Lakers will emerge victorious in this one.

December 10 at Oklahoma City Thunder: Win

Another game against the Thunder, another win for the Los Angeles Lakers. Lather, rinse, repeat.

December 12 vs. Orlando Magic: Win

The Orlando Magic actually have something cooking after landing both Jalen Suggs and Franz Wagner in the 2021 NBA Draft. They are still way too young to make any actual noise and won’t be able to beat the Lakers on the road.

December 15 at Dallas Mavericks: Loss

This has all the makings of being a huge Luka Doncic game. Doncic will be in the thick of an MVP campaign and this game will fuel that narrative as he has a huge triple-double showcase against the Lakers on national TV.

December 17 at Minnesota Timberwolves: Win

The Los Angeles Lakers are not losing two in a row after Doncic has a huge game against them, especially not against the Minnesota Timberwolves.

December 19 at Chicago Bulls: Win

The Lakers know what to expect from Chicago and do not overlook them this time around, walking away with a fairly big victory.

December 21 vs. Phoenix Suns: Loss

The well-traveled Lakers drop the second game of the season series to the Phoenix Suns behind a big game by Devin Booker.

December 23 vs. San Antonio Spurs: Win

Once again, the Lakers are not going to lose two in a row after a big game from a young star, especially against a team like the Spurs.

December 25 vs. Brooklyn Nets: Win

The marquee game of Christmas Day goes in favor of the home team. This will be a very compelling game to watch and hopefully none of the stars are hurt or load managing.

December 28 at Houston Rockets: Win

A rested a refreshed Lakers team absolutely beats the brakes off of the Houston Rockets in this one.

December 29 at Memphis Grizzlies: Loss

The Grizzlies get the best of the Lakers yet again. Again, the Grizzlies do not get the attention they deserve and Memphis is a tough place to play, especially when facing a young team like Memphis that wants to prove something.

December 31 vs. Portland Trail Blazers: Win

Dame Time will strike zero on New Year’s Eve as he will have a great game to make this a very fun matchup but will come up just shy against the Lakers.

Los Angeles Lakers record through December: 29-8
