March 1 vs. Dallas Mavericks: Win

Luka Doncic won’t be able to get the best of the Los Angeles Lakers twice in a row as the Lakers get their win back from the earlier primetime game in which Luka cemented his MVP run.

March 3 at Los Angeles Clippers: Loss

I don’t want to be too much of a homer and predict the Lakers to win all four games against the Clippers this season, as easy as it would be. The Clippers get hot from beyond the arc in this one to shoot their way to the only victory over the Lakers in the season series.

March 5 vs. Golden State Warriors: Win

At home and mad about the Clippers’ loss, the Lakers really focus on perimeter defense and clamping down on the Warriors’ shooters and emerge victoriously in this one behind the game of the year from Anthony Davis.

March 7 at San Antonio Spurs: Win

I will comfortably pick the Lakers to beat the Spurs every time they play as the Spurs are not a very good basketball team. Venue aside, the Lakers win.

March 9 at Houston Rockets: Win

There was a time when the Texas road trip was a daunting task for NBA teams. Now, it is viewed as a bit of a break against two bad teams. Eat some Whataburger, relax and get two Ws.

March 11 vs. Washington Wizards: Win

The return of Kyle Kuzma, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and Montrezl Harrell… if they even survive on the Washington Wizards past the NBA trade deadline. The Westbrook trade was good for both parties but the Lakers are still obviously the more talented team.

March 13 at Phoenix Suns: Loss

While I firmly believe that the Los Angeles Lakers would have beaten the Phoenix Suns if Anthony Davis was healthy, I still think the Suns are a very good basketball team that can sneak some regular-season wins past the Lakers because of their youth and desire to prove that narrative wrong.

March 14 at Toronto Raptors: Win

I just don’t see a reality in which the Raptors are a good basketball team next season. They have a built-in excuse from last season because they played in Tampa but I don’t think that means they will be much better this year.

March 16 at Minnesota Timberwolves: Losss

This is where the season really starts to feel like a grind and the Lakers lose a game that they otherwise shouldn’t lose. Nothing to panic about here.

March 18 at Toronto Raptors: Win

Toronto or Tampa Bay (it will be Toronto) the result will be the same: win for the Lakers.

March 19 at Washington Wizards: Win

A compelling back-to-back matchup for the Lakers, I just cannot see the Lakers losing a game to the guys that they traded in the offseason. It might be close in Washington but Kyle Kuzma will try too hard and blow the game.

March 21 at Cleveland Cavaliers: Win

LeBron against the Cavs is always a game to tune into as he will have one of his best games of the season on the road against the Cavaliers in this one.

March 23 vs. Philadelphia 76ers: Loss

The Lakers have a really rough schedule in terms of traveling and how often they play in mid-to-late March. They have three days off after this 76ers game and it has all the makings of the team looking ahead to their days off and losing against Philly.

March 27 at New Orleans Pelicans: Win

The Lakers will be somewhat refreshed after the time off and get a fairly easy opponent on the road in the Pelicans for a nice rebound W.

March 29 at Dallas Mavericks: Win

After seeing Luka Doncic twice the Los Angeles Lakers will have a new defensive game plan to throw at him and keep him from having a third great game against them. This leads to a Lakers win on the road.

March 31 at Utah Jazz: Loss

Yes, I have been bragging about how good the Lakers match up against the Jazz but Utah is a really hard place to play and the Jazz are still a really talented team. They avenge their two losses with a home win to wrap up March.

Los Angeles Lakers record through March: 58-18
