April 1 vs. New Orleans Pelicans: Win
Once again, New Orleans really fumbled the bag after the AD trade despite having tremendous luck. This is not a roster that the Los Angeles Lakers should lose to, especially down the stretch of the season.
April 3 vs. Denver Nuggets: Win
The Lakers avenge their loss from earlier in the season with a win at home against the Nuggets. Denver is going to be a top team in the Western Conference so this will be a big statement win and litmus test for the Lakers.
April 5 at Phoenix Suns: Win
With the playoffs around the corner and two losses to Phoenix already, the Lakers will enter this game with some juice and Anthony Davis will go off. 40+ points for Davis in this one to lead the Lakers to victory.
April 7 at Golden State Warriors: Loss
The Lakers split the season series against the Warriors, who get the best of them in their home building. The Lakers should still finish above the Warriors in the standings but this game will get the talking heads talking.
April 8 vs. Oklahoma City Thunder: Win
The Thunder will probably be trying to lose games at this point in the season, so losing to them in the penultimate game of the year is extremely unlikely.
April 10 at Denver Nuggets: Loss
Denver takes the season series, but there is a reason for this loss. The Lakers already locked up the top seed in the Western Conference and knowing Denver is a tough place to play, they rest/limit the starters to tenure no freak accidents.
Los Angeles Lakers final record prediction: 62-20
This might seem overly optimistic but the Los Angeles Lakers should be able to reach 60 wins. They have two top 10 players in the NBA and added a former MVP who is still 32 to that pairing. They are the best team in the Western Conference and it is only fitting that they finish first.
As long as the Los Angeles Lakers stay mostly healthy then this record prediction should look fairly accurate at the end of the season.
