4. Shooting guard

It might seem like there should be one more position that ranks lower than the shooting guard position but the fact of the matter is that the Los Angeles Lakers are stacked in the backcourt.

Now, this can get a bit dicey as a lot of two-guards can also operate as small forwards as well. That is why they are more commonly referred to as wings and there are wings on the Lakers that could play either the two or the three.

However, shooting guard is still deeper than small forward. Starting for the Lakers will likely be Wayne Ellington and behind him, the Lakers have a great bench-scoring presence in Malik Monk.

THT will likely log most of his minutes as the two-guard and is going to play a somewhat prominent role on this team off the bench. Just those three players provide a big chunk of minutes and that is without Kent Bazemore.

Bazemore is likely going to log minutes at the three as well but with LeBron James, Carmelo Anthony and Trevor Ariza (even though both Melo and Ariza will get time as the “power forward), Bazemore should log most of his minutes as the traditional two.

Despite there being four players instead of three, shooting guard is still more likely as the team could make a move there with the intent of playing Bazemore or even THT more as a small forward.
